Monroe Family Dental Care offers a wide array of dental services, to keep your mouth as healthy as possible. The best way to prevent cavities (and more serious problems like gum disease) starts with regularly scheduled dental checkups and cleanings.

Comprehensive Dental Exams

Examining your teeth every three to six months allows us to identify potential problems and treat them before they escalate into a more serious condition. We’ll perform a comprehensive review of your mouth health, including your teeth and gums. Then we’ll take the time to explain it to you in a way that makes sense, and present options for treatment.

Dental Cleaning

When plaque builds up in your mouth, it hardens into tartar and can irritate and even infect your gum tissue. A professional cleaning every 6 months can improves your appearance, your breath, and even your overalll health. Some studies suggest a correlation between poor oral health and incidence of heart attacks and strokes.

A thorough cleaning, flossing and polishing will restore your teeth’s natural shine and luster, and leave you looking and feeling your best.

Extractions

Sometimes, the best course of action is to have a tooth taken out. Our technicians will take the time to consult with you about your options for treatment, and strive to make the removal as painless as posible. We also provide a comprehensive after-care program, providing a detailed recovery plan to hasten the healing process after an extraction.

Root Canals

Left unchecked, severe plaque buildup causes tooth decay that can destroy the enamel that makes up the outer layer of each tooth. A root canal can save the damaged tooth. A root canal typically takes no longer than 2 or 3 visits, and is no more painful than a standard filling. After the infection is removed, the pulp chamber (the center of your teeth) and root canals are cleaned shaped and re-sealed. The procedure leaves you with your natural tooth, and with proper care should last permanently.

Fillings

Fillings are the most common treatment for minor tooth decay issues. We offer composite and resin based options. Composite fillings look and feel natural, and bond to the tooth to make it stronger. The white resin fillings can be tinted to more accurately match the color of your existing teeth.

Dentures

Our dentures are custom designed to match your appearnce as well as your bite. Your dentures look and feel so natural the only thing people will notice is the self-confidence that comes with a winning smile. With so many industry-leading options at our disposal, with different styles, and materials to choose from, we’re sure to find a solution that fits your budget as well as your new dentures will fit your mouth.

Implants

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots installed in your gums in order to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. They can be used for replacing a single lost tooth, replacing several teeth due to accident or injury, or even replacing all your teeth. Typically dental implants require relatively good overall oral health, and healthy gums and bones of the mouth to support the new dental appliances.

Crowns

Crowns are caps that go over existing teeth to create a more pleasant appearance. typically the process of creating a Crown may take multiple visits, but our advanced technology allows for new crowns to be produced in just one visit. Using digital imaging equipment called CEREC, we’re able to create your new Crowns in less than half an hour, all in just one visit.
